Accessible Intelligence

Intelligence does not necessarily have to be secret. Like other forms of information, it contributes to the success of an operation. However, intelligence has to be transparent for this purpose. That is why the Command & Control Support Centre (C2SC) together with future users is working on an extension to the operational information systems ISIS, which is to simplify the work that is part of the intelligence cycle.

Structuring, analysing and processing data into practicable intelligence takes a lot of time. The Intelligence module PALLAS – not an abbreviation for a change – should be able to provide support. Amongst other things, the system will be able to search through available information and establish links between different events, people and locations as well as present its results in various ways.

Intelligence specialists from different operational Dutch army units and the Marine Corps provide the C2SC with information on how the intelligence network is applied practice and on how PALLAS can support this as best as possible. The development of PALLAS fits within the operational architecture and uses commercial-off-the-shelf products as much as possible.
